Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 8 September 2026
Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using www.homevisithub.com (the “Service”), operated by Chloe Wheeler trading as HomeVisitHub (“we”, “us”, “our”). HomeVisitHub is not currently operated through a registered limited company; these Terms will be updated with company registration details if and when the business incorporates.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What We Are (and Are Not)
The Service is a directory and coordination platform that helps people find, connect with, and coordinate support from independent service providers offering in-home support and services (e.g. companionship, household support, personal assistance, etc).
We are not a service provider, employment agency, or introduction agency for regulated services, and we do not employ, supervise, or directly manage any service provider listed on the Service. We do not vet or guarantee service providers or service users — see Section 3.2 and Section 9 for details on the trust-building features we offer and the limits of our responsibility. Service providers are independent third parties (individuals or businesses) responsible for their own conduct, qualifications, insurance, and compliance with applicable law and regulation.
Any agreement for the provision of support or services is made directly between the account holder/service user and the service provider. We are not a party to that agreement and are not responsible for the performance, quality, safety, or legality of services provided.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
- You must be 18 or over to create an account.
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering, and to keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity under your account.
- You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or breach these Terms.
Where you set up or manage an account on behalf of another person (e.g. a family member), you confirm you have the authority to do so and to agree to these Terms on their behalf.
3. Service Providers
3.1 Listings
Service providers may create a profile listing their services, qualifications, pricing, and availability. By creating a listing, a service provider confirms that the information provided is accurate and that they hold any registration, licensing, insurance, or qualifications legally required to provide their services.
3.2 Verification and Trust
We are a platform that connects service users with service providers — we are not an employment agency, and we do not directly employ, manage, or supervise service providers.
We may offer trust-building features to help you make an informed decision, which could include (depending on what’s currently live on the Service): displaying reviews and ratings from other users, optional profile verification badges, encouraging providers to share evidence of qualifications, insurance, or accreditation, and similar tools. We will describe on each provider’s profile which, if any, of these checks have been carried out and by whom.
However, we do not guarantee, warrant, or accept liability for the accuracy of any information a service provider gives us, or for whether a service provider is suitably qualified, insured, DBS/background-checked, or otherwise fit to provide the service they offer. It remains the responsibility of account holders and service users to carry out their own due diligence — including checking references, qualifications, insurance, and suitability — before engaging any service provider, and the responsibility of service providers to satisfy themselves about the service users they choose to work with.
We may expand or change the checks and trust features we offer over time, and any such changes will be reflected in an updated version of these Terms and on the relevant parts of the Service.
3.3 Reviews and Ratings
Users may leave reviews of service providers. Reviews must be honest, based on genuine experience, and must not be defamatory, abusive, or misleading. We may remove reviews that breach these Terms or applicable law.
4. Account Holders and Service Users
- You are responsible for carrying out your own due diligence before engaging any service provider found through the Service, including checking qualifications, references, insurance, and suitability for your (or your relative’s) needs.
- You are responsible for agreeing terms, pricing, and arrangements directly with the service provider.
- If you are arranging support on behalf of another person, you confirm you have their consent (or appropriate legal authority) to do so and to share their personal data with us and with relevant service providers, in line with our Privacy Policy.
5. Fees and Payments
5.1 Certain features of the Service require a subscription via a monthly required payment. Fees are shown at the point of purchase and are payable via our payment provider, Stripe/GoCardless.
5.2 Cancellation — subscriptions run monthly, one month’s notice to cancel, access/billing continues until the end of the current month.
5.3 Refunds — refund available only on the first month’s payment, only if requested within 14 days of that payment.
5.4 Service payments — direct payments to service providers (as opposed to your platform fees) are explicitly carved out as a matter between the two parties, with you having no role in mediating, refunding, or reversing them.
All prices are in GBP and inclusive/exclusive of VAT where applicable.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in a way that breaches these Terms
- Post false, misleading, defamatory, or abusive content
- Attempt to bypass the platform to avoid fees, where fees apply
- Harass, discriminate against, or endanger any other user or service provider
- Use the Service to collect personal data about other users beyond what’s necessary for legitimate use
- Interfere with the security or operation of the Service (e.g. attempting to hack, scrape, or overload it)
We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who breaches this section.
7. Safeguarding
If you have a safeguarding concern about a service user or service provider (e.g. concerns about abuse, neglect, or immediate risk of harm), please contact emergency services / local authority safeguarding team directly, and also notify us at hello@homevisithub.com, so we can take appropriate action regarding the account. The Service is not a substitute for emergency services and should not be relied upon in a crisis — always call 999 in an emergency.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Service (excluding user-generated content and service provider listings) — including text, design, logos, and software — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, or exploit any part of the Service without our permission, except as necessary for your normal personal use of the Service.
By posting content (e.g. a listing, review, or profile), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the Service.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
- The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
- We act solely as a platform connecting account holders/service users with independent service providers. We do not vet, monitor, or supervise the work of service providers, and we are not a party to any agreement made between a service user and a service provider. Any trust-building features we offer (such as reviews or optional verification badges, described in Section 3.2) are provided to help inform your decision, but are not a guarantee or endorsement of any service provider’s suitability, competence, or conduct.
- Your contract for support or services is strictly between you and the service provider (or you and the service user, if you’re a provider). We accept no liability for the quality, safety, legality, timing, or any outcome of services arranged through the Service, including where a service user or service provider is unhappy with the arrangement, or where harm or loss results from an interaction facilitated by the Service.
- You are solely responsible for checking the credentials, qualifications, insurance, and suitability of anyone you choose to engage with through the Service.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, conditions, and representations not expressly set out in these Terms.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
- Subject to the above, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the greater of £100 or the total fees you’ve paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
We may, at our discretion, introduce additional vetting, guarantees, or assurance schemes in the future. Where we do, the scope of any such scheme (and any change to our liability in connection with it) will be set out clearly and will supersede the relevant parts of this section for the features it covers.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or content you post, except to the extent caused by our negligence or breach of these Terms.
11. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you’ve breached these Terms, engaged in unsafe or unlawful conduct, or for operational/security reasons. You may close your account at any time by contacting us or via account settings.
12. Changes to the Service or These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we’ll notify you (e.g. by email or a notice on the Service) before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
We may also change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at our discretion.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
